LHSS Pelotonia Team 2026

The Lee Harris Skating System Pelotonia Team is returning this year, and we're once again riding to support a cause that touches far too many of our families, friends, and community members.

Last year, with the incredible support of the Columbus hockey community, our team raised more than $26,000 for cancer research. Every dollar made a direct impact in the fight against cancer, helping fund groundbreaking research and bringing hope to families facing this disease. This year, our goal is to raise $20,000, which will bring our team's two-year fundraising total to more than $45,000 for cancer research.

On August 1st, our team will take on another 100-mile ride as part of Pelotonia. Last year, our eight riders battled through challenging miles together and crossed the finish line as one team. We're excited to take on that challenge again and would be honored to have your support.

Like many families, mine has been personally affected by cancer. My mum fought cancer for five years before losing her battle with the disease. Throughout her journey, she showed incredible strength, courage, and determination. She continued to travel, laugh, spend time with the people she loved, and make the most of every day.

I ride in her memory and for every family that has been impacted by cancer. I also ride for those who are still fighting today, with hope that the research funded through Pelotonia will lead to better treatments, better outcomes, and ultimately a cure.

No donation is too small, and every contribution helps move cancer research forward.

Every dollar donated goes directly to cancer research. Whether it's $5, $25, or $100, your support helps us move one step closer to better treatments, better outcomes, and ultimately a cure.

For those unfamiliar with Pelotonia, it is a community-driven movement dedicated to funding innovative cancer research. Since 2009, Pelotonia participants and supporters have raised more than $339 million for cancer research at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – James Cancer Hospital and Solove Research Institute. Most importantly, 100% of every dollar raised by participants goes directly to cancer research.

Pelotonia is a registered 501(c)(3) organization, and all donations are 100% tax-deductible. Tax receipts are provided for all donations.
